You get local account details in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and others, so a European client pays what feels like a domestic transfer and you don't eat a wire fee. This is where the actual money is saved - on a large transfer the gap vs. PayPal runs to roughly 2%. **3. PayPal** - keep it as a secondary option, not your primary. 3.49% + $0.49 domestic, plus a 1.5% cross-border fee and a currency markup on top, which makes it the most expensive mainstream choice. But brand recognition is real: some clients will pay a PayPal link same-day and stall two weeks on anything else. Worth having for exactly that reason. **4.
