The answer, as recorded

Here's what I'd actually recommend, in order: **1. 1Password Business - $8.99/user/mo (annual)** My default pick for most small businesses. It's the most expensive of the mainstream options, but the admin console, onboarding, and recovery flows are polished enough that non-technical staff actually use it instead of working around it - which is the whole ballgame. Good SSO/SCIM integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, solid secrets-sharing for one-off credentials, and strong breach-monitoring (Watchtower). If you have under 10 people, look at the Teams Starter Pack tier on the same pricing page - flat-rate for up to 10 users, considerably cheaper per head than Business. ([1password.com/pricing/business](https://1password.com/pricing/business)) **2. Bitwarden Teams - $4/user/mo, or Enterprise at $6/user/mo** Best value by a wide margin, and the one I'd pick for a technically comfortable team. Open-source and independently audited, so you're not taking the vendor's word on the crypto. Teams gets you unlimited sharing, event logs, and an admin API; you need Enterprise for SSO and policy enforcement, which is still cheaper than 1Password. Self-hosting is available if you want the vault on your own infrastructure. The UI is noticeably plainer than 1Password's - that's the real tradeoff. ([bitwarden.com/pricing/business](https://bitwarden.com/pricing/business/)) **3. Keeper Business - ~$3.75-5/user/mo depending on tier** The cheapest credible option with real admin controls, and the one to pick if you have compliance pressure - Keeper carries FedRAMP authorization and SOC 2, which matters if you're selling into government or regulated buyers. Be aware that several things you'd expect to be included (dark-web monitoring via BreachWatch, advanced reporting) are paid add-ons, so compare the all-in number, not the sticker price. ([cybernews.com/password-managers/keeper-vs-bitwarden](https://cybernews.com/password-managers/keeper-vs-bitwarden/)) **4. Proton Pass Business** Worth a look specifically if you're EU-based or privacy posture is a selling point for you - Swiss jurisdiction, and it bundles sensibly if you're already paying for Proton Mail. Smaller feature set and a shorter track record than the three above. **Two notes:** - I'd skip **LastPass**. It's still a functional product, but the 2022 breach involved exfiltration of customer vault data, and that's a hard thing to get past when the alternatives cost the same or less. - **Dashlane Business** (~$8/user/mo) is a reasonable product, but at 1Password's price point I don't see a reason to choose it over 1Password. If you want one sentence: **go 1Password if you want it to just work, Bitwarden if you want to save money and your team can handle a plainer tool.** Both offer free trials - set one up with your three or four most password-chaotic employees before committing the whole company. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
