The answer, as recorded

## First, the honest caveat Nearly every "best telehealth platform 2026" page in those results is vendor content marketing - Pabau's blog ranks Pabau first, Doctronic's blog ranks Doctronic first, and so on. So below is my own ordering, with those pages cited where I used them for specifics. ## What I'd actually recommend, in order **1. Whatever telehealth is already built into your EHR.** Check this before shopping. Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Elation, Office Practicum, and Kareo/Tebra all ship video visits natively. It's usually cheap or included, documentation lands in the chart automatically, and you skip a second BAA and a second login. Most clinics that bought a standalone platform did so before their EHR caught up. **2. doxy.me** - the default if you want video and nothing else. Browser-based, no patient download, free tier that's genuinely usable, paid tiers around $35-65/provider/month. Weak point: it is not integrated with your EHR, so you're copying notes by hand or linking out. Best for small clinics and anyone piloting. **3. SimplePractice** - the strongest choice for behavioral health, therapy, and solo-to-small practices. All-in-one scheduling, notes, client portal, insurance billing, secure messaging. Overkill if you only need video; underpowered if you're a multi-provider medical clinic with complex billing. **4. Tebra (formerly Kareo + PatientPop)** - best fit for independent primary care and small specialty groups that want practice management, billing with claim scrubbing, and telehealth in one system rather than stitched together. **5. Zoom Workplace for Healthcare** - pick this if your staff already lives in Zoom. Signs a BAA, integrates with Epic and Cerner for scheduling, and is the best option for group visits, multidisciplinary case conferences, and shared medical appointments because of breakout rooms and lobby controls. **6. Amwell Converge** - the enterprise answer. Embeds into Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, and Meditech so clinicians launch visits from the chart. Only worth the implementation cost at health-system scale. **7. eVisit** - worth a look against Amwell for mid-size to large systems. More focused on virtual care operations: queueing, routing patients to the right clinician, throughput metrics. Less consumer-app baggage. **8. Klara or Spruce Health** - messaging-first rather than video-first. If most of your "telehealth" is really asynchronous triage, refill requests, and photo review, these reduce phone volume far more than a video platform will. Video is included but secondary. **9. Teladoc Health** - choose this when you want clinician supply, not just software: after-hours coverage, specialty consults, or a large remote patient monitoring program with device data flowing into care-team dashboards. Expensive and heavyweight as a plain video tool. **10. Healthie** - strong niche pick for nutrition, wellness, functional medicine, and cash-pay or membership models, with good programs and package billing. ## The three things that will actually decide it - **EHR integration path** - insist on native integration or real FHIR/HL7 APIs. Link-only "integration" means double documentation forever, which is what kills adoption. - **A signed BAA** - non-negotiable, and all ten above offer one. - **Patient friction** - no app download, no account creation, works on an old Android phone in a browser. This matters more to your no-show rate than any feature list. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
