Brands named, in the order the engine gave
- Campaign Monitor mentioned
Campaign Monitor (now part of Marigold) - the most genuinely agency-built option of the mainstream tools.
- ActiveCampaign compared
The tradeoff: automation is weak compared to ActiveCampaign, and the product has gotten less investment since the Marigold acquisition.
- BigMailer mentioned
BigMailer - the one to look at if true white-label is a hard requirement (your logo, your domain, clients never see a vendor name).
- Brevo mentioned
Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) - cheapest serious option, from ~$9/mo, priced by sends rather than contacts, which is a big deal when clients have large dormant lists.
- MailerLite mentioned
MailerLite - best deliverability-to-price ratio and the nicest editor at the budget tier;
- Klaviyo mentioned
Klaviyo - for ecommerce clients, this is the default and honestly not a close call.
- Shopify mentioned
Deep Shopify/BigCommerce data, revenue attribution your clients can actually see, and a strong agency partner program with free accounts for testing and real referral revenue.

The answer, as recorded
Short version: there's no single winner - the right pick depends mostly on whether your clients are ecommerce or B2B, and whether you need true white-labeling. Here's how I'd rank them. ## If you manage many clients from one login **1. Campaign Monitor (now part of Marigold)** - the most genuinely agency-built option of the mainstream tools. Client sub-accounts under one agency master login, per-client permissions, locked branded templates, and the ability to set your own markup and bill clients directly through the platform. Start around $12/mo. The tradeoff: automation is weak compared to ActiveCampaign, and the product has gotten less investment since the Marigold acquisition. **2. ActiveCampaign** - pick this if you sell automation build-outs as a service. Best-in-class visual automation builder plus a light CRM, and it has a real partner/agency program with discounted client accounts and migration help. From ~$15/mo per account. Downside: each client is a separate account and billing, so admin overhead grows; pricing climbs fast as lists grow. **3. BigMailer** - the one to look at if *true* white-label is a hard requirement (your logo, your domain, clients never see a vendor name). Unlimited brands/clients under one account, agency plan around $12.50/mo per 5,000 contacts with up to 100 users. Small vendor, thin review base, less polished - but it does the one thing the big players mostly don't. ## If you need the cheapest path across many small lists **4. Brevo (formerly Sendinblue)** - cheapest serious option, from ~$9/mo, priced by sends rather than contacts, which is a big deal when clients have large dormant lists. Includes SMS and transactional email. Agency program exists but sub-account management is less mature than Campaign Monitor's. **5. MailerLite** - best deliverability-to-price ratio and the nicest editor at the budget tier; an "agency" directory and a reasonable partner program. Note: despite what some listicles claim, it is not a real white-label platform - clients will see MailerLite. ## If your clients are specialized **6. Klaviyo** - for ecommerce clients, this is the default and honestly not a close call. Deep Shopify/BigCommerce data, revenue attribution your clients can actually see, and a strong agency partner program with free accounts for testing and real referral revenue. Expensive at scale, which is fine because you're billing against attributed revenue. **7. HubSpot** - for B2B clients where email is one piece of a funnel you also own (CRM, forms, lifecycle reporting). The Solutions Partner program is the most lucrative agency channel of anything on this list. Overkill and overpriced if you only need email. **8. Customer.io** - for sophisticated clients with product/event data and engineers to wire it up. Flexible, developer-friendly, not something you hand to a junior account manager. ## What I'd actually do If you're a general-purpose agency with 5-30 mixed clients: **Campaign Monitor** as your standard platform, **Klaviyo** for anyone on Shopify. That covers most of it. Two things worth verifying yourself before committing: several of the "best for agencies" roundups online right now are affiliate-driven and make white-label claims that don't hold up on the vendors' own pricing pages, so check white-label and sub-account terms directly. And ask each vendor how sending reputation is isolated between clients - on shared IPs, one client's bad list can hurt your others, which is the single most common way agencies get burned. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
