Behavioral Health Business has reported on the unauthorized listings trapping therapists in online directories (Nov 2025) and on clinicians criticizing platforms for creating profiles without permission (Apr 2025). The pattern recurs across successor sites: an earlier directory that built unauthorized clinician profiles, CareDash, shut down in 2023 after professional-association pressure and an FTC complaint - and the scraping model simply moved on. Professional bodies including BACP warn members about listing-"renewal" payment requests from sites they never joined.
