Microsoft Teams - The obvious pick if you already have Microsoft 365, since it's bundled at no extra cost.
- Zoom mentioned
Zoom - Still the best pure meeting product, and the one to pick when meetings are the business: client webinars, external calls, large all-hands (up to 1,000 participants), recording and transcription you'll actually use.
- Webex mentioned
Webex - I'd only name this for larger or regulated organizations (healthcare, government, finance) with existing Cisco hardware and procurement/compliance requirements.

The answer, as recorded
Honestly, for most remote teams this decision is made by the ecosystem you're already paying for, not by the video quality. Here's how I'd rank them: **1. Google Meet** - The default I'd recommend if you're on Google Workspace or have no strong existing stack. Nothing to install, joins from a browser link, and it almost never has the "can you see my screen?" problem. Included in Workspace at $6-18/user/month, so you're not paying for a separate tool. Free tier does 60-minute group meetings with up to 100 people. **2. Microsoft Teams** - The obvious pick if you already have Microsoft 365, since it's bundled at no extra cost. It's really a chat-and-collaboration hub where meetings are one feature, which is a plus if you want one tool instead of three. Standalone Essentials is $4/user/month, the cheapest entry paid plan of the big three. The client is heavier and clunkier than Meet, which is the tradeoff. **3. Zoom** - Still the best pure meeting product, and the one to pick when meetings are the business: client webinars, external calls, large all-hands (up to 1,000 participants), recording and transcription you'll actually use. It's also the safest choice for calls with outside people, since everyone already knows how to join a Zoom. Costs more as a standalone, from about $14-15/user/month, and the 40-minute free cap is the tightest. **4. Webex** - I'd only name this for larger or regulated organizations (healthcare, government, finance) with existing Cisco hardware and procurement/compliance requirements. Strong on security and conference-room gear, overkill for a 20-person startup. **5. Around or Butter** - Worth a look if your pain is "too many draining meetings" rather than "we need a reliable call." Around strips out the big talking-head grid for a lightweight floating UI; Butter is built for workshops and facilitated sessions with agendas and breakouts. Niche, but genuinely better for their specific use case. My actual advice: if you're on Workspace, use Meet; if you're on Microsoft 365, use Teams; buy Zoom only on top of those if you do a lot of external or large-audience calls. Paying for two general-purpose platforms is usually waste. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
