The answer, as recorded

Here's how I'd actually rank them, assuming a distributed team doing daily standups, client calls, and the occasional all-hands: **1. Google Meet** - My default recommendation for most remote teams. It's browser-based (no install friction for external guests), the link lives in the calendar invite, and Business Starter is ~$7/user/month - about half of Zoom Pro - while bundling Gmail, Docs, and Drive. If your team already runs on Google Workspace, you're done; stop shopping. Weak spot: large webinars and granular host controls. **2. Microsoft Teams** - The right answer if you're already paying for Microsoft 365, because it's included at no extra cost. It's less a meeting tool than a full collaboration hub - persistent channels, SharePoint, Office co-authoring - so it wins on internal-heavy workflows at scale. It's clunkier for external guests, and the desktop app is heavy. **3. Zoom** - Still the best *pure meeting* product: most reliable on bad connections, best handling of large rooms (up to ~1,000 participants), best breakout rooms and webinar tooling, and the one every client and contractor already has installed. Worth paying for if meetings are the core of your business (sales, teaching, recruiting, therapy). The free tier's 40-minute cap on group calls is the known annoyance; Google Meet's free tier gives you 60. **4. Loom** - Not a competitor to the above, but the highest-leverage addition for a remote team. Async recorded video with auto-transcripts kills a large share of status meetings outright, which matters more across time zones than any live-call feature. **5. Jitsi Meet** - The pick if you don't want to pay, don't want accounts, and don't want a vendor holding your call data. Self-hostable and free. Choose it for privacy-sensitive work, nonprofits, or engineering teams comfortable running infra; it's rougher than the commercial options. **Honorable mention: Webex** - Mainly if you're in a regulated industry or already Cisco-invested for hardware and compliance reasons. Otherwise there's little reason to pick it over the first three. Short version: Google Meet if you're on Workspace, Teams if you're on Microsoft 365, Zoom if external meetings are your product. Add Loom either way. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
