The answer, as recorded

Here's who I'd actually name, roughly in the order I'd bring them up: **1. ShipBob - the default for most DTC/Shopify brands** Biggest network of the "ecommerce-native" 3PLs (60+ fulfillment centers across five regions), so you can split inventory across 2-3 nodes and cut zone-based shipping costs. Native integrations with Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, etc., plus built-in inventory forecasting. Best fit for small-to-medium parcels under ~10 lbs. Downside: dedicated account managers are reserved for larger merchants, and bulky/fragile goods get expensive. **2. ShipMonk - best if you have SKU complexity, kits, or subscriptions** Roughly a dozen owned-and-operated facilities (US, Canada, UK, Czech Republic) and a genuinely good proprietary WMS. Their batch-fulfillment support makes them the standard pick for subscription boxes and crowdfunding/Kickstarter deliveries. Pricing is transparent-ish: ~$3.00 first pick + $0.75/additional unit, ~$2.00/cu ft/month storage. Note the 200-order/month minimum - too high for very early-stage brands. **3. Red Stag Fulfillment - if your products are heavy, bulky, or high-value** Only two facilities (Knoxville and Salt Lake City), so network reach is limited, but they take the 10 lb+ items that ShipBob and ShipMonk either surcharge heavily or refuse. The real differentiator is the accuracy guarantee: $50 credit per mispick or misfulfillment, which almost nobody else offers. Costs more per order; worth it for furniture, tools, equipment, fragile goods. **4. Amazon MCF (Multi-Channel Fulfillment) - if Amazon is already your main channel** Cheap, fast, and you're already in the system. Caveat: unbranded packaging by default and you're building your logistics on top of a competitor's rails. **5. Shopify Fulfillment Network / Flexport - if you're all-in on Shopify** Now operated by Flexport. Tight platform integration and good freight-forwarding-to-fulfillment continuity if you're importing. Has been through a lot of operational churn, so I'd check current service levels before committing. **6. Deliverr → now part of Flexport** and **Whitebox** are worth a look for marketplace-heavy sellers, but both are second-tier picks at this point. **One caveat on the research:** a lot of the "best 3PL 2026" content ranking on Google right now is SEO listicles published by 3PLs themselves, naming a dozen providers nobody has heard of. I'd ignore those. The practical move is to get quotes from two or three of the above with your actual SKU dimensions and monthly order volume - per-order economics vary enough that the ranking can flip on your specific numbers.
