Pipedrive - my default recommendation for a small business with an actual sales pipeline.

- Zoho One mentioned
Zoho CRM - the best price-to-feature ratio, especially if you're already in Zoho Books or Zoho One.
- LivePlan mentioned
LivePlan (~$20/month) - different category, and worth naming because many people asking this question actually want financial forecasting, not pipeline forecasting.
- QuickBooks mentioned
If you need a revenue and cash-flow projection for a bank, an investor, or your own planning, LivePlan syncs with QuickBooks/Xero and does budget-vs-actual.
- Xero mentioned

- Clari mentioned
Ones I'd steer you away from at your size: Clari, Gong Forecast, Aviso, and Cube are all excellent and all wrong for a small business - Cube alone starts around $30k/year.
- Gong mentioned
Ones I'd steer you away from at your size: Clari, Gong Forecast, Aviso, and Cube are all excellent and all wrong for a small business - Cube alone starts around $30k/year.

- Cube mentioned
Ones I'd steer you away from at your size: Clari, Gong Forecast, Aviso, and Cube are all excellent and all wrong for a small business - Cube alone starts around $30k/year.
- G2 mentioned
One caveat on sources: the "best of 2026" listicles above are heavily affiliate-driven, and Capterra/G2 rankings are influenced by vendor spend, so treat the specific orderings there as advertising rather than evaluation.
- Causal mentioned
Also note Causal, which appears on several of these lists, has been absorbed into Lucanet and now carries enterprise pricing (~$250/month entry) - it's no longer the scrappy option its reputation suggests.
- Zapier mentioned
- Zapier - Sales forecasting software (https://zapier.com/blog/sales-forecasting-software.md)

The answer, as recorded
The honest headline: almost no small business should buy a dedicated sales-forecasting tool. Forecasting is a feature of the CRM you already run your pipeline in, and standalone forecasting products are priced for 20+ person sales teams. So my list is mostly CRMs, ordered by who I'd actually point you to. **1. Pipedrive** - my default recommendation for a small business with an actual sales pipeline. Forecasting is built into the core product (revenue projections off deal value × probability × expected close date), the pipeline view is the easiest to keep honest, and it's roughly $15-60/user/month. It's a sales tool first, not a marketing suite with sales bolted on, which is why reps actually update it - and a forecast is only as good as the data people bother to enter. **2. HubSpot** - the one to pick if you want room to grow or you also need marketing email and forms. The free tier supports unlimited users with core CRM, and forecasting lives in the Sales Hub paid tiers. The catch is real: pricing escalates steeply once you add seats and hubs, and migrating off it later is painful. **3. Zoho CRM** - the best price-to-feature ratio, especially if you're already in Zoho Books or Zoho One. Zia, its AI assistant, does anomaly detection and deal-close predictions at a price point where competitors charge enterprise rates. The UI is busier and setup takes longer than Pipedrive. **4. LivePlan (~$20/month)** - different category, and worth naming because many people asking this question actually want *financial* forecasting, not pipeline forecasting. If you need a revenue and cash-flow projection for a bank, an investor, or your own planning, LivePlan syncs with QuickBooks/Xero and does budget-vs-actual. It won't manage deals. **5. A spreadsheet** - genuinely the right answer under ~$1M in revenue or with fewer than about 50 open deals. Pipeline value by stage, a close-probability column, and a monthly actuals row beats any software, because small-sample forecasts are driven by judgment about three or four big deals, not by an algorithm. Ones I'd steer you away from at your size: **Clari**, **Gong Forecast**, **Aviso**, and **Cube** are all excellent and all wrong for a small business - Cube alone starts around $30k/year. They're priced and designed for teams where no single person can hold the whole pipeline in their head. One caveat on sources: the "best of 2026" listicles above are heavily affiliate-driven, and Capterra/G2 rankings are influenced by vendor spend, so treat the specific orderings there as advertising rather than evaluation. Also note Causal, which appears on several of these lists, has been absorbed into Lucanet and now carries enterprise pricing (~$250/month entry) - it's no longer the scrappy option its reputation suggests. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
