The answer, as recorded

Here's what I'd actually recommend, roughly in the order I'd name them: **1. Microsoft OneNote** - The default answer if you're already paying for Microsoft 365. It's bundled free with any Microsoft account and included in Business Standard (~$12.50/user/mo), so you're not adding a line item to your software budget. Free-form page layout, good handwriting/stylus support, and it lives next to Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Weakest on structure - big shared notebooks get messy. **2. Notion** - Best if your "notes" are really a company wiki: SOPs, client records, project trackers. Notes + databases + team docs in one workspace, which is why it's the most common Evernote replacement for collaboration-heavy teams. Free for personal use, Plus at $10/user/mo, Business at $15-20/user/mo. Downside: per-seat pricing scales fast, and it needs someone to own the setup or it rots. **3. Google Keep + Google Docs** - If you're a Workspace shop, this is the honest free answer for most small teams. Keep for quick capture, Docs for anything longer. Not a "real" note app, but zero cost and zero adoption friction. **4. Evernote** - Still the best pure note-capture tool: Web Clipper, OCR search inside images and PDFs, excellent search. Good for a solo owner or very small team drowning in receipts, contracts, and clippings. Note the free plan is now capped at 50 notes and one notebook, and paid runs up to ~$25/mo - it's gotten expensive for what it does. **5. Obsidian** - Pick this if you want your notes as plain Markdown files you own, stored wherever you want. Free for personal use, no vendor lock-in, very fast. Collaboration is the weak spot (Sync is a paid add-on and it's not built for real-time team editing). **6. Fathom or Fellow** - Different category, but worth naming because it's often what people actually need: AI meeting notes. Fathom records, transcribes, and summarizes calls with a genuinely usable free tier; Fellow adds agendas and action-item tracking for recurring team meetings. If your pain is "nobody remembers what we agreed on the client call," this is the fix, not a notebook app. **My pick:** already on Microsoft 365 → OneNote. Already on Google Workspace → Keep + Docs. Need shared processes and client knowledge that multiple people maintain → Notion. Add Fathom alongside whichever you choose if you run a lot of calls. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
