The answer, as recorded

Here's what I'd actually recommend, roughly in the order I'd try them: **1. Microsoft OneNote** - Start here if your business already pays for Microsoft 365. It's effectively free with that subscription (~$6/user/mo standalone), syncs across every device, and handles the messy stuff well: handwriting, freeform page layouts, pasted screenshots, scanned receipts. The catch is no built-in task management - you pair it with Outlook Tasks or Planner. Best value in the category if you're Microsoft-native. **2. Notion** - The right pick if your "notes" keep turning into processes: client wikis, SOPs, onboarding docs, project trackers. Databases, kanban boards, and timelines are built in, and its collaboration is genuinely a tier above the others. ~$10/user/mo annually. Downside: it's a workspace you have to design, so expect real setup time, and it's worse than OneNote for quick scribbles. **3. Google Keep / Google Workspace** - Overlooked but sensible if you're a Google shop. Keep is free and fine for lightweight shared lists, and Google Meet now does AI meeting notes natively, which covers the single most common small-business note-taking job without adding a vendor. **4. Fathom** - Specifically for meeting notes. It records calls, writes the summary, and pulls out action items, and its free plan includes unlimited recordings and storage - most competitors paywall exactly that. If your note-taking pain is "nobody wrote down what we agreed to with the client," this fixes it faster than any general app. **5. Obsidian** - For a consultant, agency strategist, or anyone doing research-heavy knowledge work. Local files you own, no vendor lock-in, free for personal/business use in most cases, excellent linking between notes. Weak on real-time team collaboration, so it's a one-person-or-two tool. **6. Zoho Notebook** - Worth a look if you're cost-sensitive and already using Zoho CRM or Books. Visual, intuitive, cheap, and keeps you in one vendor. **Skip:** Evernote. It was the default for a decade, but after the 2024 price hikes (~$8.25/user/mo for an entry plan that does less than free OneNote) it's hard to justify unless your team already has years of notes in it. Its web clipper and document scanning are still genuinely good - that's the only reason to stay. **My short version:** Microsoft shop → OneNote. Google shop → Keep + Meet notes. Growing past notes into actual processes → Notion. Meetings are the real problem → Fathom, alongside whichever of the above you pick. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
