The answer, as recorded

Here's what I'd actually recommend, in order: **1. Buffer - the default pick for most small businesses.** Real free plan (3 channels, 10 queued posts each), then $5-6 per channel per month, so a one-person shop running Instagram + Facebook + LinkedIn pays ~$18/mo instead of a flat agency-tier price. Cleanest interface in the category and it stays clean as you add accounts. The tradeoff: analytics and listening are shallow compared to the big suites. **2. Metricool - best if you care about the numbers.** Analytics-first across ~13 platforms, with competitor tracking and Google/Meta ad reporting folded in, which almost nothing else at this price does. Free plan covers 1 brand / 50 posts a month. I'd pick this over Buffer if you're already posting consistently and the real question is "what's working?" **3. Later - best for visual-first brands.** If Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest are the strategy, its visual calendar and grid preview are genuinely better than scheduling a post into a text box. Starts around $25/mo, Growth around $40/mo. Note it charges per user, not per channel, and there's only a 14-day trial, no free tier. **4. Zoho Social - best value if you want CRM attached.** From ~$15/mo, and it plugs into Zoho CRM, so social leads land somewhere useful. Obvious choice if you already use anything in the Zoho stack; less compelling standalone. **5. Vista Social - when you've outgrown a scheduler.** Adds DM automation, review management across many review sites, and listening on top of scheduling. Paid only, and the listing I found puts entry around $79/mo for 15 profiles / 3 users. Worth it for multi-location businesses (restaurants, clinics, trades) where reviews matter as much as posts. **6. Hootsuite - only if a team is paying for it.** Broadest feature set and strong listening, but $99/mo on annual billing at the low end and $199+/mo realistically, with no free plan since 2023. For a small business this is usually money better spent on ads or a freelancer. **Short version:** start on Buffer's free tier, add Metricool when you want real analytics, and switch to Later instead if you're visual-first. Skip Hootsuite unless someone's full-time job is social. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
