The question asked, verbatim: best social media management tools for agencies

Brands named, in the order the engine gave

  1. Sprout recommended
Sprout Social - The one to pick if client reporting is your differentiator and your clients are mid-market or enterprise.
  2. Agorapulse recommended
Agorapulse - My default recommendation for small-to-mid agencies.
  3. Sendible recommended
Sendible - Built for agencies from the start.
  4. SocialPilot recommended
    SocialPilot - The value play.
  5. Planable recommended
Planable - Not a full SMM suite, but the best tool in existence if your actual bottleneck is client approvals.
  6. Hootsuite recommended
Hootsuite - I'd only pick it now for enterprise clients who specifically ask for it or need its integration depth.
  7. per-seat recommended
It moved to strictly per-seat pricing ($99-$399/user/month), which makes it expensive for agencies without delivering much that Agorapulse doesn't.
  8. Metricool recommended
Metricool - Worth knowing as the cheap analytics-plus-scheduling option, but it's aimed at individual brand managers rather than agencies - thin on white-label and client-workflow features.
  9. Jotform mentioned
    - Jotform - Best Hootsuite alternatives and competitors 2026 (https://www.jotform.com/blog/hootsuite-alternatives/)

The answer, as recorded

Here's what I'd actually recommend, roughly in the order I'd suggest you try them: **1. Sprout Social** - The one to pick if client reporting is your differentiator and your clients are mid-market or enterprise. Best-in-class analytics and social listening, genuinely board-ready reports. The catch is price: ~$199-$399 per seat/month, which stings for agencies since every account manager needs a seat. **2. Agorapulse** - My default recommendation for small-to-mid agencies. Excellent unified inbox (nothing gets lost across client accounts), solid approval workflows, and reporting that's good enough for most clients. $79-$199/month, 10 social profiles included, extra profiles ~$10/month. Per-user pricing is the thing to watch as your team grows. **3. Sendible** - Built for agencies from the start. The strongest white-label story: rebrand the whole dashboard and reports as your own, which matters if you're selling "our platform" to clients. Downside is a dated, clunky UI and report-building that takes more clicks than it should. **4. SocialPilot** - The value play. White-label reports and client management at roughly a quarter of Sendible's price (~$25-$100/month tiers vs. Sendible's $89+ for fewer accounts). Fewer bells and whistles, but if you're managing 15 small local clients on retainer, the margin math is hard to argue with. **5. Planable** - Not a full SMM suite, but the best tool in existence if your actual bottleneck is client approvals. Multi-level sign-off, per-post comment threads, unlimited users on paid plans, priced per workspace/brand rather than per seat. Plenty of agencies run Planable for approvals alongside a cheaper scheduler. **6. Hootsuite** - I'd only pick it now for enterprise clients who specifically ask for it or need its integration depth. It moved to strictly per-seat pricing ($99-$399/user/month), which makes it expensive for agencies without delivering much that Agorapulse doesn't. **7. Metricool** - Worth knowing as the cheap analytics-plus-scheduling option, but it's aimed at individual brand managers rather than agencies - thin on white-label and client-workflow features. **Practical take:** most agencies under ~20 clients should start with Agorapulse, and swap to SocialPilot if cost pressure wins or Sendible if white-labeling is a selling point. Add Planable only if approvals are genuinely your pain point. Reserve Sprout for when a client's reporting expectations justify the per-seat bill. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
