  1. Splashtop recommended
Splashtop - my default pick for most small businesses.
  2. USB recommended
Solo is ~$6/mo billed annually, Business Access Pro ~$8.25/mo per user, and Performance (4:4:4 color, high frame rate, USB passthrough) ~$13/mo per user if you have designers or CAD users remoting into workstations.
  3. IDrive recommended

Here's what I'd actually recommend, roughly in the order I'd suggest trying them: **1. Splashtop - my default pick for most small businesses.** Best price-to-capability ratio right now. Solo is ~$6/mo billed annually, Business Access Pro ~$8.25/mo per user, and Performance (4:4:4 color, high frame rate, USB passthrough) ~$13/mo per user if you have designers or CAD users remoting into workstations. Fast, cross-platform, and it doesn't nickel-and-dime you on concurrent sessions the way the legacy vendors do. **2. RemotePC (IDrive) - cheapest option if you're licensing by machine, not by person.** The SOHO plan is roughly $75/year for access to ~10 computers. If you have a handful of office PCs that a few people need to reach, this is dramatically cheaper than per-user pricing. Caveat: the headline prices are heavily discounted first-year rates, so check the renewal number before you commit. **3. Zoho Assist - best if you're doing *support* rather than just access**, i.e. helping employees or clients fix their machines. Starts around $10/user/month, has a genuinely usable free tier (1 technician, 5 unattended computers), and it slots in neatly if you already use anything else in the Zoho suite. **4. TeamViewer - the safe, boring, everyone-knows-it choice.** Strongest compliance story of the group (AES-256, MFA, HIPAA/GDPR posture), broadest device support, and your clients will already have it installed. The downside is cost: it starts around $25/mo for a single user and climbs steeply, and they've raised prices repeatedly. I'd pick it specifically when you're in a regulated industry or need to support exotic devices. **5. AnyDesk - technically excellent, but I'd hesitate today purely on price.** It's still the snappiest performer over bad connections, which matters if you're remoting over hotel Wi-Fi or a cellular tether. But plans now run roughly $29/mo (Solo) to $112/mo (Advanced), after increases of roughly 90-120% over the past two years. Great product, bad trend line. **Also worth knowing before you spend anything:** if your machines run Windows 11 Pro, built-in **Windows RDP** over a VPN or Tailscale costs you nothing and is excellent on a LAN. And **Chrome Remote Desktop** is free and fine for occasional "I just need to grab a file off my desk PC" access. If one of those covers your use case, skip the subscriptions entirely. One caveat on the numbers: a lot of the head-to-head pricing comparisons that surface in search are published by Splashtop's own marketing team, so treat the "save 40% vs. competitor" framing as advertising. The per-plan list prices themselves check out, but verify current pricing on each vendor's own page before you buy - this market has been repricing fast. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
