The answer, as recorded
Worth flagging up front: most "best LMS" listicles are published by LMS vendors ranking themselves first - the [TalentLMS](https://www.talentlms.com/blog/best-learning-management-systems/), [Disco](https://disco.co/blog/best-lms-for-remote-teams), [Thirst](https://thirst.io/blog/best-lms-for-remote-teams/) and [Thinkific](https://www.thinkific.com/blog/best-lms-for-corporate-training/) pages that dominate search all do this. So here's my own ordering, with the names that come up consistently across independent comparisons. **1. TalentLMS** - My default recommendation for most remote teams under a few hundred people. Deploys in days rather than months, genuinely multilingual, and cheap enough that you don't need a procurement cycle to justify it. The tradeoff is shallow reporting and a somewhat dated authoring experience. This is the one most independent comparisons land on for small-to-mid distributed teams. **2. 360Learning** - Pick this if your real problem is that knowledge lives in your team's heads, not in a course library. It's built around peer-authored content and course requests, which fits remote teams where the subject matter expert is a colleague in another timezone, not an instructional designer. Weaker as a pure compliance-tracking system. **3. Docebo** - The enterprise answer. Strong AI-driven content recommendations, deep analytics, and the governance features large orgs need. Expensive and genuinely requires an implementation project - overkill below roughly 500 learners. **4. Absorb LMS** - Best balance if you have real regulatory obligations but don't want training to feel like a compliance chore. Solid audit trails, automated recertification, multi-language. Good middle ground between TalentLMS and Docebo. **5. Moodle (or Moodle Workplace)** - The open-source option. Choose it if you have technical capacity in-house and want to avoid per-seat pricing or vendor lock-in. Infinitely extensible, but you own the hosting, upgrades and UX problems, and the default interface is rough. **6. LearnUpon** - Strong specifically if you train external audiences alongside employees (partners, customers, contractors) - its multi-portal model handles separate branded environments well. Less compelling if you're purely internal. **7. Litmos** - Notable mainly for its large off-the-shelf content library. Worth it if you'd rather buy generic compliance and soft-skills courses than build anything; less worth it if your training is company-specific. Two things that matter more than the shortlist: whether it does SSO and auto-provisioning against your identity provider (otherwise you'll hand-manage accounts forever), and whether mobile actually works offline if anyone is deskless or on bad connections. Both are easy to assume and painful to discover late. Shortlist two or three and run your real onboarding content through a trial - these platforms differentiate far more on authoring and admin experience than on feature lists. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
