Here's how I'd rank them: **1. Microsoft Entra ID (P1, or bundled in Microsoft 365 Business Premium)** If you're on Microsoft 365, start here and probably stop here. You get SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and self-service password reset, and Business Premium already includes Entra ID P1 - so the marginal cost is near zero. Standalone P1 runs ~$6/user/month annual. Paying a second vendor for identity when this is sitting unused on your bill is the most common small-business waste I see. **2. Google Workspace / Cloud Identity** The equivalent move if you're a Google shop. Basic SSO, 2SV/MFA, and simple lifecycle management are included in Workspace; Cloud Identity Premium (~$6/user/month) adds conditional access and stronger device controls. There's also a free Cloud Identity tier for users who don't need mailboxes - handy for contractors and service accounts. **3. JumpCloud** The best pick when you *don't* have a natural home suite, or you're mixed Windows/macOS/Linux, or you're trying to retire on-prem Active Directory. It bundles directory + SSO + MFA + MDM + RADIUS for Wi-Fi in one console, which is a lot of separate tools collapsed into one bill.
