The question asked, verbatim: best fleet management software for delivery firms

Brands named, in the order the engine gave

  1. Samsara recommended
Samsara - My default recommendation for anything above ~25 vehicles.
  2. WMS mentioned
the 30-second intervals typical elsewhere), AI dashcams, maintenance, and by far the deepest integration ecosystem, which matters when you need to wire it into a WMS or TMS.
  3. G2 mentioned
    Rated 4.5/5 across ~3,200 G2 reviews.
  4. Motive mentioned
Motive - The one I'd pick for smaller or newer fleets, and for anyone who doesn't want to be locked in.
  5. Verizon Connect compared
Verizon Connect - Feature-complete and worth a quote if you're already a Verizon shop, but I'd name it third for a reason: 3.8/5 on G2 vs.
  6. Routific mentioned
Routific - Where I'd send most small-to-mid delivery firms (roughly 3-30 vehicles).
  7. Circuit mentioned
Circuit for Teams - The closest competitor, $125-$1,000/month across four tiers.
  8. Onfleet mentioned
Onfleet - Strong product, but it has moved upmarket and priced accordingly: ~$619/month for 2,500 tasks, and advanced route optimization, barcode scanning, and age verification sit on the $1,349/month Scale plan.
  9. Bringg mentioned
Bringg or FarEye - Only at enterprise scale.
  10. FarEye mentioned
Bringg or FarEye - Only at enterprise scale.
  11. Routific + Motive mentioned
Most delivery firms under 30 vehicles are best served by Routific + Motive rather than one platform trying to do both - it's cheaper, and each piece is better at its job.

The answer, as recorded

There are really two different things sold as "fleet management" for delivery firms, and which one you need depends on whether your pain is **vehicles** (compliance, safety, maintenance, fuel) or **stops** (routing, dispatch, driver app, customer ETAs). Here's who I'd actually name, in order: ## If your problem is vehicles and drivers (telematics) **1. Samsara** - My default recommendation for anything above ~25 vehicles. Best-in-class hardware (GPS refreshes every second vs. the 30-second intervals typical elsewhere), AI dashcams, maintenance, and by far the deepest integration ecosystem, which matters when you need to wire it into a WMS or TMS. Roughly $27-33/vehicle/month, but expect a 36-month contract with auto-renewal. Rated 4.5/5 across ~3,200 G2 reviews. **2. Motive** - The one I'd pick for smaller or newer fleets, and for anyone who doesn't want to be locked in. Similar ELD/dashcam capability (its AI Dashcam Plus has the gateway built into the camera, so installs take under 10 minutes, and it flags behaviors Samsara misses like lane swerving), $25-50/vehicle/month, and critically, **12-month terms** instead of three years. If you're not sure you'll still be using this in two years, start here. **3. Verizon Connect** - Feature-complete and worth a quote if you're already a Verizon shop, but I'd name it third for a reason: 3.8/5 on G2 vs. Samsara's 4.5, support is a recurring complaint, and every plan carries a three-year minimum. Consider it, don't start with it. ## If your problem is routes, dispatch, and the driver app **4. Routific** - Where I'd send most small-to-mid delivery firms (roughly 3-30 vehicles). Free up to 100 orders/month, then ~$150/month for up to 1,000 orders, and - the part that matters - the **full feature set is on every tier**, so you don't get upsold to unlock route optimization. **5. Circuit for Teams** - The closest competitor, $125-$1,000/month across four tiers. Genuinely excellent driver-facing app; good if your drivers are the bottleneck rather than your planning. **6. Onfleet** - Strong product, but it has moved upmarket and priced accordingly: ~$619/month for 2,500 tasks, and advanced route optimization, barcode scanning, and age verification sit on the $1,349/month Scale plan. Justified for multi-brand, hybrid (owned + gig) or regulated operations like pharmacy and alcohol delivery. Overkill otherwise. **7. Bringg or FarEye** - Only at enterprise scale. Bringg if you're a retailer orchestrating owned fleets alongside gig carriers; FarEye if you want AI dispatch out of the box. Both are implementation projects, not signups. ## What I'd actually do Most delivery firms under 30 vehicles are best served by **Routific + Motive** rather than one platform trying to do both - it's cheaper, and each piece is better at its job. Above that, **Samsara** plus a dedicated routing layer. And whatever you shortlist, price the three-year commitment, not the monthly headline; the contract term is the biggest hidden cost in this category. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
