The answer, as recorded
Searched. Here's what I'd actually recommend, and the honest framing first: "contract management" means two different things, and which one you need determines the answer. Either (a) you create and send contracts for signature constantly - sales, client agreements, SOWs; or (b) you already have a pile of signed contracts in Google Drive and keep missing renewal dates and don't know what you agreed to. Most tools are good at one, not both. **1. PandaDoc** - ~$19-35/user/mo. My default pick for most small businesses, because most small businesses are in bucket (a). Templates, e-sign, approval routing, payment collection, decent CRM integrations (HubSpot especially). Interface is the one people actually adopt without training. Limitation worth knowing: it's built for sending and signing, not for post-signature lifecycle management - it's a document tool that does contracts, not a true CLM. ([G2 comparison](https://www.g2.com/compare/contractsafe-vs-pandadoc), [pricing roundup](https://www.lucioai.com/seo/contract-management-software-pricing-comparison-2024)) **2. Concord** - pricing is where you should be careful: their Essentials plan lists around $399/mo annually with 5 users included, though some comparison sites quote ~$17/user/mo, so get a quote rather than trusting a listicle. Worth it because it's one of the few genuine end-to-end CLMs (draft → redline → sign → store → renewal alerts) that targets SMBs rather than legal departments, with 1,500+ SMB/mid-market customers. Pick this if you want one system instead of two. ([Concord comparison page](https://www.concord.app/concord-pandadoc-comparison/), [TrustRadius](https://www.trustradius.com/compare-products/concord-vs-contractsafe)) **3. Zoho Contracts** - ~$25/user/mo. Only reason it's this high on the list: if you already run Zoho CRM/Books/One, the integration and the per-seat economics beat everything else here. If you're not in the Zoho ecosystem, skip it. ([Capterra roundup](https://capterra.com/contract-management-software/s/small-businesses/)) **4. ContractSafe** - $450/mo entry (Organize tier), unlimited users. This is the bucket (b) answer and it's genuinely the best at that job: OCR search across every PDF you dump in, AI metadata extraction, unlimited renewal reminders. The catch is the entry tier is a repository only - no e-signature, no approval workflows until you reach $660/mo. Unlimited users makes it cheap if 10+ people need read access, expensive if two people do. ([ContractSafe pricing breakdown](https://bindlegal.com/resources/comparisons/contractsafe-pricing-2026/)) **5. Contractbook** - best actual free entry tier if you're pre-revenue or signing a handful of contracts a month. Start here rather than buying something you'll underuse. ([free tools roundup](https://learn.g2.com/free-contract-management-software?hsLang=en)) **6. DocuSign CLM** - ~$25/user/mo, and only worth considering if you're already paying for DocuSign eSignature and your counterparties expect that envelope. Otherwise it's more product than a small business needs. ([pricing comparison](https://www.lucioai.com/seo/contract-management-software-pricing-comparison-2024)) What I'd steer you away from: **Ironclad** and **Agiloft**. Both are excellent and both show up on "best for small business" lists anyway - Agiloft starts around $500/mo and these are built for in-house legal teams with implementation projects measured in weeks. If you don't have a lawyer on staff, the configuration burden alone will sink the rollout. One caveat on all the pricing above: these numbers come from third-party comparison sites and move around, and several vendors (Concord, ContractSafe, Agiloft) negotiate. Treat them as a ranking signal, not a quote. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
