You drop a lightweight collector at each site, and it auto-discovers devices, builds live topology maps, and backs up switch/router/firewall configs without you hand-building templates. Cloud-hosted, so there's no server for you to maintain and nothing to VPN into. Pricing is per-device by custom quote, tiered across network/infrastructure/edge devices - that's the main gripe people have with it. **2. Domotz** - The value pick, and the better fit if you have lots of small sites. Flat $35/collector or $1.50/managed device, so a dozen tiny branches don't wreck your budget the way per-device pricing can. Strong remote-access story (tunnels to devices behind NAT), which matters a lot when nobody is physically at the site. **3. PRTG (Paessler)** - Choose this when you need depth on a smaller number of things rather than breadth. Sensor-based licensing means one device can eat 5-10 sensors, so it gets expensive at scale, but the per-metric control and alerting maturity are excellent, and 100 sensors are free forever - a genuinely useful starting tier. **4.
