Methodology
Author Watch compares marketplace listings against monitored authors' confirmed catalogs using deterministic similarity signals: exact and near-name matching, perceptual-hash and embedding comparison of covers, text-shingle overlap of descriptions, derivative-title patterns, release-timing proximity, and commodity markers. A finding is a similarity signal requiring human confirmation — not an adjudication of any listing, publisher, or person. Only aggregates are published. Weeks run Monday–Sunday, UTC.
