The question asked, verbatim: best supply chain planning software for manufacturers
Brands named, in the order the engine gave
- Kinaxis recommended
Kinaxis (Maestro) - My default recommendation for discrete manufacturers (automotive, electronics, industrial, aerospace, life sciences).
- Oracle mentioned
Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning - Same logic as SAP, for Oracle shops.
- OMP mentioned
OMP (Unison Planning) - The specialist I'd name for process manufacturers - chemicals, food & beverage, pharma, metals, paper.
- Blue Yonder mentioned
Blue Yonder - Broadest footprint across planning and execution (WMS, TMS), so it's worth it if you're consolidating vendors.
- Logility mentioned
Logility - The sweet spot for mid-to-large manufacturers who want real demand sensing and inventory optimization without an enterprise-scale program.
- John Galt Solutions mentioned
John Galt Solutions (Atlas Planning) - Purpose-built for mid-market CPG and manufacturing;
- StockIQ mentioned
StockIQ - Where I'd point a mid-market manufacturer or distributor who wants planning mechanics (forecasting, replenishment, supplier scorecards, SIOP) working in weeks, not quarters.
- Netstock mentioned
Netstock - Smallest-scale option.
- SAP IBP compared
- Kinaxis vs o9 vs Blue Yonder vs SAP IBP vs Oracle SCM (https://www.bizz.ai/blog/kinaxis-vs-o9-vs-blue-yonder-vs-sap-ibp-vs-oracle-scm/)

The answer, as recorded
The honest answer is that "best" depends mostly on your size and whether you're already locked into an ERP. Here's who I'd actually name, in order: **1. Kinaxis (Maestro)** - My default recommendation for discrete manufacturers (automotive, electronics, industrial, aerospace, life sciences). Its concurrent planning engine recalculates the whole plan in seconds, so what-if scenarios during a disruption are genuinely fast rather than an overnight batch job. Named a Gartner MQ Leader for the 11th consecutive year. Implementation runs months-to-a-year rather than multi-year, which matters. **2. o9 Solutions** - The strongest pick if you want true integrated business planning breadth, not just supply planning. Its knowledge-graph "Digital Brain" models demand, supply, finance, and commercial plans together. Best for large, global, high-complexity operations. Scored highest overall (4.45) in one 2026 comparison framework. Heavier lift than Kinaxis; expect a serious implementation program. **3. SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)** - If you're running S/4HANA, this is usually the right call on integration grounds alone. Data gravity is real and the native connection to your execution layer saves enormous middleware pain. It scored lowest of the big four (3.73) on standalone capability, so pick it for ecosystem fit, not because it's the best planning engine. **4. Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning** - Same logic as SAP, for Oracle shops. MQ Leader three years running, and a sensible fit for enterprise manufacturers above ~$100M revenue with thousands of parts and multi-tier assembly. **5. OMP (Unison Planning)** - The specialist I'd name for process manufacturers - chemicals, food & beverage, pharma, metals, paper. Positioned highest for Ability to Execute in the 2025 general MQ, and highest on *both* axes in the 2026 Process Industries MQ. If you have campaign scheduling, shelf-life, or co-product/by-product constraints, OMP handles them natively where generic tools need customization. **6. Blue Yonder** - Broadest footprint across planning *and* execution (WMS, TMS), so it's worth it if you're consolidating vendors. Caveat: $500K+ and 12-24 months with a systems integrator. Not realistic mid-market. **7. Logility** - The sweet spot for mid-to-large manufacturers who want real demand sensing and inventory optimization without an enterprise-scale program. **8. John Galt Solutions (Atlas Planning)** - Purpose-built for mid-market CPG and manufacturing; strong forecasting, single SaaS platform, much lighter implementation. **9. StockIQ** - Where I'd point a mid-market manufacturer or distributor who wants planning mechanics (forecasting, replenishment, supplier scorecards, SIOP) working in weeks, not quarters. Highest G2 rating of the mid-market group at 4.6/5. **10. Netstock** - Smallest-scale option. Genuinely inventory optimization and replenishment rather than full demand planning, but for a sub-$50M manufacturer it's cheap, fast, and plugs into existing ERP. **How I'd narrow it:** under ~$100M revenue, start at StockIQ/Netstock/John Galt and ignore the top of the list - enterprise tools fail in mid-market because nobody staffs the planning team they assume. Over that, if you're on SAP or Oracle, shortlist their native product against Kinaxis and make them prove the integration savings. Process manufacturer at any scale: put OMP on the list. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
