The answer, as recorded

"Quoting software" splits into three buckets depending on what you're quoting, so here's my ordered list with the honest default first. **1. Your CRM's native quoting - HubSpot Quotes (free-$20/seat)** If you're already on HubSpot, start here and buy nothing. Quotes tie to deals, pull line items from your product library, handle discounts/approvals/e-sign, and can collect payment. HubSpot also bought Cacheflow in late 2024 to build out real subscription CPQ, so it's getting stronger for SaaS pricing. Most pre-Series A startups never need more than this. Same logic for Zoho CRM users. **2. PandaDoc (free tier; ~$19-$35/seat/mo)** The best all-rounder if you want a dedicated tool. One editor covers quotes, proposals, contracts, e-signature, and payments, so you're not stitching together DocuSign + a template library. It's the safest default pick. Tradeoff: the output looks utilitarian next to Qwilr. **3. Qwilr (~$35-$59/seat/mo)** Pick this if the quote is part of your pitch. Quotes render as interactive web pages with embedded video and pricing toggles the buyer can play with - great for design-conscious, higher-ACV sales. 4.6/5 on G2 for polish and ease of use. Costs more and is overkill for a $2k deal. **4. Proposify (~$19-$49/user/mo)** Best if you care about the pipeline more than the pixels. It treats a quote as a sales stage: who opened it, which sections they lingered on, where it's stuck. Cheapest of the three dedicated tools and usually meaningfully under Qwilr. **5. Zoho Invoice (free) or Wave (free)** If you actually just need to send a priced estimate that converts to an invoice - services, agency, early consulting revenue - skip CPQ entirely. Zoho Invoice is genuinely free up to 1,000 invoices/year with multi-currency and a client portal; Wave is better for US/Canada accounting integration. Stripe Invoicing (0.4% per paid invoice) if you're developer-led or usage-based. **6. DealHub (~$500-$1,000/mo, quote-based)** Only once you have configurable products, multi-year ramps, or usage-based pricing that breaks spreadsheets. It's full quote-to-revenue - CPQ, CLM, deal rooms, subscription billing - and it acquired Subskribe in Nov 2025 for the billing/rev-rec side. Real money and real implementation time; don't buy this at seed stage. My actual advice: if you're under ~10 reps, use your CRM's quoting until it visibly breaks, then go PandaDoc. The companies that regret their choice are the ones who bought CPQ before they'd settled their pricing model. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
