The question asked, verbatim: best podcast hosting platforms for agencies
Brands named, in the order the engine gave
- Transistor recommended
Transistor - my default recommendation.
- Captivate mentioned
Captivate - the closest competitor and better if your clients want growth/marketing features.
- WordPress mentioned
Unlimited shows and storage, built-in calls-to-action, a decent WordPress-ish site builder per show, and network-level rollup analytics across all your clients' shows in one view.
- Castos mentioned
Castos - pick this when your clients are WordPress-centric or you want white-label.
- Springcast mentioned
Springcast - worth a look specifically if you need EU data residency or a genuinely multi-tenant setup: isolated workspace per client, white-label players and reports, agency pricing tiers.
- US mentioned
Smaller and less known in the US, but it's one of the few built as an agency product rather than a creator product with agency pricing bolted on.
- Megaphone mentioned
Megaphone (Spotify) - the right answer only if your clients are monetizing at scale.
- Spotify mentioned
Megaphone (Spotify) - the right answer only if your clients are monetizing at scale.
- Simplecast mentioned
Simplecast - SiriusXM-owned, strong analytics and audience data, and access to their ad network.
- Buzzsprout mentioned
Buzzsprout - not for managing a roster, but the one I'd hand a client who wants to self-serve after you hand off.

The answer, as recorded
## For agencies, the shortlist **Transistor** - my default recommendation. Unlimited shows on every plan (starting ~$19/mo), unlimited team members, per-show analytics, and separate RSS feeds - so adding a client doesn't add a subscription line. Private podcasting is included, which matters if any client wants internal/members-only feeds. Added video podcast hosting in 2026. The main gap is that it's deliberately minimal: no dynamic ad insertion marketplace, lighter marketing tooling. **Captivate** - the closest competitor and better if your clients want growth/marketing features. Unlimited shows and storage, built-in calls-to-action, a decent WordPress-ish site builder per show, and network-level rollup analytics across all your clients' shows in one view. Slightly higher price floor than Transistor. **Castos** - pick this when your clients are WordPress-centric or you want white-label. Unlimited shows, and they explicitly court agencies with volume discounts, branded players, and custom-branded mobile apps. The Seriously Simple Podcasting WordPress plugin integration is the real differentiator if you're already building client sites in WP. **Springcast** - worth a look specifically if you need EU data residency or a genuinely multi-tenant setup: isolated workspace per client, white-label players and reports, agency pricing tiers. Smaller and less known in the US, but it's one of the few built *as* an agency product rather than a creator product with agency pricing bolted on. **Megaphone (Spotify)** - the right answer only if your clients are monetizing at scale. Enterprise dynamic ad insertion, targeting, and access to Spotify's ad marketplace. Expensive, minimum commitments, sales-led onboarding - overkill for a client roster of small shows. **Simplecast** - SiriusXM-owned, strong analytics and audience data, and access to their ad network. Reasonable middle ground between Transistor and Megaphone, though it's had less visible product momentum than the others. **Buzzsprout** - not for managing a roster, but the one I'd hand a client who wants to self-serve after you hand off. Easiest onboarding and support of any of these; per-show pricing makes it bad economics for you, good economics for them. ## Two things that matter more than the feature grid **Feed ownership and transfer.** Clients churn. Check how painful it is to hand a show back - Transistor, Captivate, and Buzzsprout all have clean one-click show transfers between accounts; some platforms make you do a full RSS migration and re-submit to directories, which risks the Apple/Spotify listing. Ask before you consolidate a roster. **Seat permissions.** "Unlimited team members" isn't the same as role-based access. If you need a client to see their own analytics but not other clients' shows, verify that scoping explicitly - this is where Springcast and Castos are ahead of the generalist platforms. One caveat on sourcing: several of the comparison pages below are published by the vendors themselves (Castos and Transistor both rank themselves first on their own roundups), so treat the rankings as marketing and the feature/pricing details as the useful part. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
