Jobber also integrates FleetSharp if you want driver-behavior scoring and route replay.
- Azuga recommended
Azuga - my default recommendation for small-to-mid trades fleets.
- Verizon Connect compared
Consistently the best-reviewed of the major players on ease of use, setup, and support (4.7/5 vs Verizon Connect's 3.8/5 on G2), and the driver-rewards/scorecard angle actually works for getting techs to stop speeding in branded vans.
- Samsara mentioned
Samsara - best in class once you're bigger or want AI dash cams and safety/coaching workflows.
- Fleetio mentioned
Fleetio - different animal: maintenance, inspections, work orders, service history, cost-per-vehicle.
- Motive mentioned
Motive - pick this if any of your trucks trigger DOT/ELD requirements (CDL, heavier rigs).
- ClearPathGPS mentioned
ClearPathGPS, One Step GPS, GPS TrackIt - the no-contract budget tier, roughly $16-$30/vehicle/month, often month-to-month with money-back guarantees.
- CLUE mentioned
CLUE - only if you're construction-side with heavy equipment plus vehicles.

The answer, as recorded
Here's how I'd rank them for a trades outfit (vans, 3-50 vehicles). The big fork is whether you want a standalone fleet platform or something bolted onto the field service software you already use - start there. ## If you already run field service software **1. ServiceTitan Fleet Pro** - if you're on ServiceTitan, this is the obvious first call. Built specifically for the trades: GPS tracking, geofencing, GPS-verified timesheets that flow into payroll, and unauthorized-use detection. The timesheet integration alone usually justifies it, because you stop arguing about arrival times. **2. Force by Mojio** - the native GPS add-on for both **Housecall Pro** (~$20/vehicle/month, no contract, plug-in 4G/LTE device) and **Jobber** (Premium/Pro plans, US). Cheapest credible path to live van locations on your dispatch map. Thin on deep fleet analytics, but for 5-15 vans that's usually fine. Jobber also integrates **FleetSharp** if you want driver-behavior scoring and route replay. Don't buy a separate fleet platform before checking this - duplicate systems are how trades businesses end up paying twice for the same dot on a map. ## Standalone fleet platforms **3. Azuga** - my default recommendation for small-to-mid trades fleets. Consistently the best-reviewed of the major players on ease of use, setup, and support (4.7/5 vs Verizon Connect's 3.8/5 on G2), and the driver-rewards/scorecard angle actually works for getting techs to stop speeding in branded vans. **4. Verizon Connect** - most "best overall" lists put it first, and the feature depth and reporting are genuinely strong. But the review scores tell you the real story: long contracts and support complaints. Worth a demo if you're 25+ vehicles and need the reporting; read the contract term carefully. **5. Samsara** - best in class once you're bigger or want AI dash cams and safety/coaching workflows. Priced and built for larger operations; overkill and over-budget for a six-van shop. **6. Fleetio** - different animal: maintenance, inspections, work orders, service history, cost-per-vehicle. Entry plans are cheap (around $4-$5/vehicle/month) with unlimited users, and it's bring-your-own-tracker. Best **paired** with a GPS product, not instead of one. If your pain is surprise breakdowns and no service records rather than "where is Dave," start here. **7. Motive** - pick this if any of your trucks trigger DOT/ELD requirements (CDL, heavier rigs). Roughly $25-$35/vehicle/month, flexible terms, frequent free-hardware promos. **8. ClearPathGPS, One Step GPS, GPS TrackIt** - the no-contract budget tier, roughly $16-$30/vehicle/month, often month-to-month with money-back guarantees. ClearPathGPS has a documented ServiceTitan integration. Good when you want tracking next month without a three-year commitment. **9. CLUE** - only if you're construction-side with heavy equipment plus vehicles. It manages yellow iron and pickups in one system, which the van-focused tools don't do well. **My actual advice:** if you're on ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro, buy their native tracking first. Otherwise start with Azuga, and add Fleetio if maintenance tracking is the bigger bleed. Insist on month-to-month or a short term for your first year - the most common regret in this category is a three-year contract on hardware you've outgrown. Treat all pricing above as ballpark; everyone quotes custom. Answer Watch records what one AI answer engine said on one date, nothing more. Each page names the engine and the model, carries the date the question was asked, and lists the brands that appeared in the answer in the order the engine gave them, with the sources it cited. It is a measurement, not a ranking, not a recommendation and not a claim about the world. Brands that did not appear in an answer are not named on any public page.
