Questions

Is this SAM.gov?

No. Bid Watch US is independent and not affiliated with SAM.gov, the General Services Administration or the US government. SAM.gov is the official, free place to search federal contract opportunities. We read its public data extract every day, filter it, and email you the matches; you always respond through the notice on SAM.gov.

Where does the data come from?

From the public SAM.gov Contract Opportunities data extract, which SAM.gov regenerates every day and anyone can download without an account. We keep the notices that still take responses (solicitations, combined synopsis/solicitations, presolicitations and sources sought) and show the read time next to every number.

What is a set-aside?

A contract the agency reserves for a group of small businesses: total small business, 8(a), service-disabled veteran-owned (SDVOSB), women-owned (WOSB and EDWOSB) or HUBZone. We show the set-aside SAM.gov states on each notice; check your own eligibility with the SBA.

Do I need to be registered to bid?

Generally yes: to receive a federal contract award a business needs an active registration in SAM.gov (free, with a Unique Entity ID). Registration is done on SAM.gov itself; nobody needs to pay a third party to register.

Who is behind it?

Bikoosh, an independent tracker that reads official sources and dates every fact.

How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?

Pro is sold and billed by Gumroad, the merchant of record. Cancel any time from your Gumroad receipt or library; cancel during the free trial and you are not charged. A refund request goes through the Gumroad receipt for the charge, under Gumroad's refund policy. The free weekly email is free and one click unsubscribes.

Can you guarantee we win a contract?

No. We only make sure the matching notices reach you while they are open.
