# Running an office pool for a remote or hybrid team

A remote team cannot pass a paper grid around. A pool by magic link does the same job: one link to join, one edit link per person, one board everyone opens on their phone, the host's panel for the lock, the draw and the scores.

## The setup

- Create the pool, paste the board link in the team channel; people claim squares or pick winners from the link, no account needed.
- Lock at an announced time; the draw happens after it, with its time on the board, so nobody in another time zone wonders.
- Enter the scores as the game goes; everyone sees the winners update on the same board.

## Keep it fair across time zones

- Announce the lock in one time zone and write it in the pool's notes.
- Use the edit links, not messages to the host, for changes; the board is the record.

## Quick answers

**How do you run a Super Bowl squares pool remotely?**

Host it by link: create the pool, share the board link in the team channel, people claim squares from their phones and get an edit link, the host locks at an announced time, draws the numbers after the lock and enters the scores; the board shows the winners.

**Do participants need an account?**

No. A participant enters a name (and optionally an email for the edit link); the host's manage link and the board link are the only credentials.

Bikoosh Pools is an independent tool, not affiliated with any league, team or broadcaster; team and event names are used to describe the game being followed. Bikoosh Pools never collects, holds or pays out money and never sets stakes: it keeps the grid, the picks and the standings for people who already know each other. Whether a pool carries any stake, and whether that is allowed where you are, is the host's responsibility.
