Soona** - My default recommendation for a retail shop with real inventory. You ship products, book a shoot, and pay **per asset you keep** (~$39/photo, ~$93/video clip), so you're not committing to a $2,000 day rate before you know if you like the look. The live-direct feature (you watch the shoot over video and redirect it in real time) is the thing that saves retail shops from the classic \"paid for 40 images, 6 are usable\" outcome. They also do UGC-style video, which matters if you're running paid social. Physical studios in Denver, Austin, Nashville, Seattle and others, plus a virtual option.\n[soona.co](https://soona.co/photo-studios/virtual)\n\n**2. Squareshot** - Step up when image quality is the differentiator (jewelry, apparel, anything where texture and reflection sell the item). ~$50/image for product shots or $750 for a 2-hour shoot; model shoots from $100/image or $2,950 for 4 hours. Retouching, photographer, assistants and gear are included in the per-image price, which is the honest part - a lot of cheaper quotes don't include finishing. No minimum order on their plans.\n[squareshot.com](https://www.square", "answer_truncated": true, "measurement": "One answer from one engine on one date.
