Here's who I'd actually name.\n\n## Telematics + vehicle/driver management\n\n**1. Samsara** - my default for anyone running 25+ vehicles. GPS, AI dashcams, ELD, maintenance, and site/equipment tracking on one platform, with the best-developed API and integration ecosystem of the group, so it can feed a separate routing tool. 4.5/5 across ~950 reviews. The catch is commercial: roughly **$27-45/vehicle/month**, typically on a 36-month auto-renewing contract, no public pricing.\n\n**2. Motive** (formerly KeepTruckin) - the one I'd name first for small and mid-size fleets. Comparable GPS and AI dashcam quality, FMCSA-registered ELD, similar 4.5/5 rating on a larger review base, but **~$25-35/vehicle/month with a 12-month minimum** instead of three years. For a 50-van fleet that's roughly $1,500/mo vs Samsara's ~$1,900/mo, plus far less contract lock-in.\n\n*", "answer_truncated": true, "measurement": "One answer from one engine on one date.
