I've ordered for that.\n\n**1. Neon** - My default recommendation for agencies. Serverless Postgres that scales to zero, so dormant client projects cost near-nothing; the free tier allows 100 projects (vs. Supabase's 2), and paid starts around $5/mo with compute at ~$0.14/CU-hour. Database branching gives each client a throwaway staging copy per PR. The per-project model maps 1:1 onto per-client, which is exactly how you want to bill and offboard. ([pricing comparison](https://www.costbench.com/compare/neon-vs-supabase/), [Neon vs Supabase](https://agentdeals.dev/neon-vs-supabase))\n\n**2. DigitalOcean Managed Databases** - The boring, predictable pick, and the one I'd use when a client will eventually take over the bill. ~$15/mo for a 1 GiB Postgres cluster, flat-rate with no I/O or provisioned-IOPS charges, automatic failover and daily backups included.
